There are a lot of apps out there that are meant to replace personal trainers and nutrition coaches. Everything from workout routine apps (Aaptiv, Kaa-Yaa, Sworkit, etc.) to food diary apps (MyFitnessPal, Lose It, etc.) make it easier – and cheaper – for people to get fit.
But what apps make it easier for a personal trainer or coach to manage clients and scheduling? Any help with meal planning? What about productivity? Billing? Marketing and promotion?!
Yes.
Those apps exist.

Business Management Software for Coaches
Apps and software to manage your entire coaching practice.

CoachAccountable
CoachAccountable is an all-in-one software to manage your coaching practice. Most coaches are able to replace multiple individual services and apps with just this one, because it can do so much (scheduling, invoicing, automatic reminders, etc.).
In a nutshell, this software helps your clients stay on track, even when you’re not directly working with them in person or on the phone. And that not only frees up your time, it leads to results. Oh, and you can brand everything with your colors and logo, so you look super professional.
You can watch a 3-minute demo video on their site to see exactly what it does, and you can try it out risk-free thanks to a 30-day free trial (no credit card required).
Pricing starts at $20/month for a single coach with up to 2 clients and goes up from there. Have 20 clients? That will cost $120/month.

A couple more apps I just had to put in here!
Ascend (for Lose It!)
The Ascend app lets you monitor your clients’ Lose It! accounts – excellent if your clients are using the free Lose It! app for tracking their food intake! You can easily review clients’ food logs and monitor their progress. The app even allows for direct messaging between you and your clients.

Cronometer Pro
Cronometer is a fantastic free app your clients can use to track their eating habits. With Cronometer Pro, you can access all your clients’ nutrition data in one place!

Coach’s Eye
Now this is super cool. The app facilitates video recording; essentially, clients record themselves exercising and then their coach gets to watch the video to critique their form.
This would be excellent for online personal trainers who need to check form, and even better for sports coaches looking at running gait, a golf swing, bike fit, and so much more.

Very useful article.
I would like to suggest another tool for the list which helps already more than 8000 nutrition professionals – https://nutritioapp.com
Would that be possible? I would be happy to provide more information.
We are also offering an academic plan – we offer the app for free to nutrition students during their studies. I see you have a few reviews of educational programs.
